Prathan L. Powell, Sr. is a native of Columbus Georgia. He is a graduate of Columbus High School. Reverend Powell served as the Chancellor of WCT Christian Life School of Theology and has taught classes at a local theological school. He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Dream Center of Columbus, CASA (Child Abuse Service Associates). Prophet Powell currently serves as the CEO of the Board of Directors of Miracles in the City Foundation, Inc. In 2004, Prophet Powell was awarded the Carmella A. Morales Humanitarian Award from Miracles in the City Foundation, Inc. Prophet Powell is an awesome business administrator and ministry advisor which allows him to share and help other ministries operate in the spirit of excellence.

In 1991, Mr. Powell accepted his call from God to pastor World Changes Tabernacle Church, where he is Senior Pastor and Prophet. Prophet Powell operates in the five-fold ministry as a Teacher, Pastor, and Prophet to the Nations. God entrusted him to form PLP Ministries, Inc. a local non profit ministry that operates several community programs such as SOY (Save Our Youth) computer training and job placement program; PLP Adopt-A-Block Program, to aid families with clothing, food, back to school supplies and Christmas toys annually.  
 
Prophet Powell is the author of several inspirational books: A Fresh Start (2011), "Will the Real Church Please Stand Up?" (2005), The Good the Bad the Ugly of Ministry, A Pioneer Perspective (2001) and Walking in Order of the Vision (Defining the Core) (2004). Prophet Powell has made guest appearances on television and radio programs. He is a sought out speaker/teacher and his ministry has taken him all over the world. Prophet Powell has traveled both nationally and internationally to lands such as Israel, Canada, Trinidad, and Germany. He continues to travel and speak in leadership conferences, services and seminars.
