Habakkuk 2:2-3 - And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

The success of what men and women of God have accomplished and are still doing today started with a vision - a vision from God! Of course, one would be foolish to believe that these great accomplishments of starting a ministry, owning a business, being elected as the President of the United States just to name a few were as a result of some grand idea of their own. No. It all started with a vision and we must give ALL credit to God. God is the one who sets us apart for great things. From your mother's womb God knew you and He put vision in you. It's up to you to carry it out. The word meaning for vision is a vivid, imaginative conception or anticipation of something desired to come forth. I'm sure as a child you had hopes and dreams of what you wanted to be when you grew up. Some of you had big imaginations. That's okay because we serve a big God! As a child, God will show us things we are to do. He will not show us the whole thing but He will show us in part. I believe if He showed us the whole thing in its totality, we would give up way too early and abort the vision God gave us.

When God gives you a vision it requires prayer, discipline, persistence and commitment to carry out what He has given you, especially during the times when it seems as if nothing is happening or nothing is working in your favor. Press forward with force! That's called momentum. That's why it is so important to do as Habakkuk 2:2 says, ".write the vision, and make it plain." It's not only for others to see it, but so you can see it, speak it, and hold to it. Lock in on the vision and see it through eyes of faithDon't be fooled. The enemy wants to steal your vision and he will try to zap your momentum - he comes to kill, steal, and destroy. However, when you become disciplined in your vision, you recognize what the enemy is trying to do. Notice I said trying. Remain in the presence of God through faith and prayer. The enemy has no power in God's presence. It's all about faith. Therefore, exercise your faith and believe that God is not slack concerning His promises. If He is not slack, we cannot be slack in carrying out what He has given us to do. In the game of football, when the quarterback throws the ball to the receiver, the receiver knows his objective is to catch the ball, hold on to it and run with all his might while keeping up his momentum until he makes a touchdown. It's not his responsibility to move the ball to the finish line and fight off the offenders. He has other team mates to do that. You have God to fend off your enemy.

When God is for you, He's more than those against you. I say to you, God has given you His vision. Grab hold of it, don't drop it, keep the faith, pray and remain prayerful; this is the only way to keep the enemy at bay. Be determined to not look back. Keep your momentum as you move forward. Don't stop announcing it. Walk upright and know that God is on your side. Remember, every obstacle that tries to block you, God will remove. Trust in the momentum of God's ability. Never give up. Wait for it! After all, if God said it, surely it will come to pass!
